Dear Randy,

Just wanted to drop you some feedback about working with you and Scenic Ridge Studios on my last project. Simply put, it was the best studio experience I have ever had!

The studio is large enough to work easily with four or more musicians, yet small enough to provide for the intimacy and spontaneity that is essential to the creative process. The isolation booth was perfect, better than many larger (and more expensive) studios I have been in.

Finally, having you do the engineering on the project was extremely efficient and thoroughly professional. To have someone with your extensive professional experience as a performer and yet be so good as an engineer is a rare and valuable combination.

I would very highly recommend this studio to anyone wanting the best sound and final product at very competitive prices. Thanks so much Randy, I can't wait until we can get back in the studio again.

Margaret Wakeley " Perfect Strangers " Session

Dear Randy,

How can I thank you enough for all your fine work, when I guess I'll never know how much "over time" you put into this project of mine? All I know is this: I came into your studio/home with Warren, and was immediately made welcome and comfortable. In 2 days, all of you musicians worked like musical maniacs, and put down eleven tracks of gorgeous, music. It was a relaxed, supportive atmosphere, where an amazing amount of music was produced in a limited amount of time. Everything recorded beautifully.

We've gone now from two days together in Scenic Ridge Studios to four and a half months of "long distance" production. I received lush embellished tracks from those original sessions, and several amazing subsequent tracks--several of Warren's can't-stop-coming-up-with-heart-wrenching arrangements, and your achingly sweet version of When Autumn Comes. Up to Ithaca, NY flew the wav. files from Tennessee, and back to you flew my vocal wavs.

Then you spent those untold hours, meticulously going over my tracks, and mixing and mixing and mixing everything together. It has been a challenge to do this, taking into account all my input, and dealing with a totally different studio up here. I thank you for your creative music, your tender care of my vocal tracks, your ear for the mix and your encouragement. Can't wait to see it all come together--it's just about there!

To some people, recording is no big deal. They've done it many times before....so on and so forth. I just want to say that I have been dreaming, waiting, and hoping to record at a professional studio my entire 32 years of existence. When that time actually presented itself to me, my heart nearly jumped through my chest. My adrenaline was shooting through the roof, and I felt better than any drug could have made me feel. Aside from the emotions, I felt completely relaxed and comfortable. I appreciate the fact that Randy has a wonderful musical ear, and I knew from the very start that we "heard" eye to eye on the direction of the product. To me it's not just the finished product, but how you get there that matters. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process, and I hope to record at Scenic Ridge Studios again very soon. (Oh yeah, Annie's chicken soup is the bomb too!!)

Thank you Randy and Annie for such an incredible and relaxing experience. I hadn't been in the studio for almost 5 years and felt right at home once I put the headphones on. Their hospitality of course you would never receive in any studio in town that I know of. Homemade chicken soup, guest room that relaxes you, and a hot tub at the end of the night! Who needs to sing, right? Just kidding. I am very impressed with the whole experience and the CD demo sounds great. I am working on some original songs now, so that we can go back into the studio again soon. Thanks again Randy and Annie for everything.

Hey Randy,
As you know, Joe and I have been going over the mixes of Bad Karma...but I been wanting to let you know I think you're a damn genius! Bad Karma was one of those tunes that I always thought had potential, but it always seemed to be a song that somehow stalled at the starting gate, and seemed a nice idea that would never go anywhere. But you took all the raw components of the tracks and pieced them together into what I believe is a masterpiece. I'm talking about the way it flows and then climbs emotionally in the middle section, then gracefully slides back down. Just brilliant. I've 'tested' it on a few friends (non-musician music lovers) and they were totally blown away by it. Again...I'm thrilled by what you're doing, and can't wait to hear what ideas you come up with the rest of the songs! Later,

You have really taken our music to another level that I had not envisioned. I don’t think any of us had.

This was a dead project back in 1992. On the shelf with no hope. I believed in these songs and have been trying to get this moving for the last 3-4 years. I think it all had to travel to this spot in time to come to this realization. Like all great projects it’s the people and the chemistry that have to unite. And to Chuck also for bringing us together.
